TYPES OF FABRICS

NATURAL FABRICS

•    Natural fabrics are made of fibre that either comes from:

      (1) An animal (hair, fur, and feathers)

PLANT FIBRES

•    Plant fibres may be obtained from the plant’s fruit (e.g. cotton or coir), stems (e.g. flax, jute, kenaf and hemp) or leaf (e.g. sisal).

•    Plants fibres can be obtained from various parts of a plant. They are biodegradable (which decomposes completely by the action of micro organism).
