 Mahatma Gandhi

  • Mahatma Gandhi was a great freedom fighter.
  • He was born on 2nd October, 1869, at Porbandar.
  • His birthday is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti, it is our National Festival and we have a National holiday on this day.
  • His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
  • He believed in Ahim- sa (Non-violence).
  •  He lived a simple life.

  • He was shot dead on 30th January, 1948.
