  • There are 118 elements known at present. Out of the known elements only about 92 have been found to be present in nature and the rest have been synthesized by scientists.
  • Some elements are solids, some elements are liquids other elements are gases at the room temperature.
  • For example, sodium and carbon are solids; mercury and bromine elements are liquids, hydrogen and oxygen elements are gases, at the room temperature.
