Material Noun

Definition:

A Material Noun is the name of a material or a substance or an ingredient.

Examples:

1.  Bones are made up of calcium.

2.  The water bottle is made up of plastic.

3.  This is a silk saree.

4.  Book is made up of paper.

5.  Taj Mahal is made up of marble.

Read the following sentences.

1. Neeta is carrying shopping bags in her hands.

The bags are made of cloth.

So cloth is a Material noun.

2. Shonali is wearing a gold necklace.

The necklace is made up of gold.

So gold is a Material noun.

3. Bread is made from flour.

So flour is a Material noun.
