Unitary method : A relationship between 2 quantities is given and using the same relationship we have to find one of the two other quantities given.
For example : If price of 3 pens is Rs. 15 then what will be the price of 7 pens ?
Solution : 3/15 = 7/x where x is the price of 7 pens.
pen/price = pen/price => 3 pens/price of 3 pens = 7 pens/ price of 7 pens
After cross multiplication we get x = 7 x 15/3 so x = 35 that means price of 7 pens is Rs. 35
