Masculine:
A noun that denotes a male is said to be the ‘masculine gender’.

e.g. boy, man, king, tiger are 'masculine gender nouns'.
Feminine:
A noun that denotes a female is said to be the ‘feminine gender’.
girl woman
queen tigress
e.g. girl, woman, queen, tigress are 'feminine gender nouns'.
Common:
A noun that denotes both a male and a female is said to be the ‘common gender’.
Baby
Teacher
Children
Therefore, baby, teacher, children are 'common gender nouns'.
Neuter:
A noun that denotes a non-living thing is said to be the ‘neuter gender’.
purse torch
shoes sofa
e.g. purse, torch, shoes, sofa are ‘neuter gender nouns’.
