Adjectives are words that describe. They tell us something more about a noun/pronoun.

In the sentence:

She is wearing a pink frock.

The word “pink” describes the noun “frock”. Hence PINK = adjective.

Que.: What kind of frock?

Ans.: PINK. Hence ‘pink’ is the adjective.

 

More Examples

  1. I can see TALL trees.

 

Que.: What kind of trees?

Ans.: TALL (tall = adjective)

 

  1. The camel is a CROOKED animal.

Que.: What kind of animal?

 Ans.: CROOKED (crooked = adjective)

 

  1. My friend lives in a BIG house.

 

Que.: What kind of house?

 Ans.: BIG (big = adjective)

 

  1. We are going for a LONG vacation.

Que.: What kind of vacation?

 Ans.: LONG (long = adjective)
