Iron has a wide use in automobile industry, in construction and is also used for making tools.
Gold and silver are used for making jewellery.
Copper is used for making electrical wires, cooking utensils etc.
Zinc is mainly used for making protective coating for iron to prevent it from corrosion.
Aluminium is used for making electrical cables, cooking utensils etc.

Uses of Non metals

Non-metal used in water purification process.
Non-metal used in the purple coloured solution which is applied on wounds as an antiseptic.

Uses of sulphur:

Sulphur is used in the manufacture of compounds such as sulphuric acid, sulphates.
Sulphur is also used in many other industries pigments, fibers, pharmaceuticals, agricultural pesticides, personal care products, cosmetics, synthetic rubber vulcanization, water treatment, and steel pickling.
Sulphur is an essential plant nutrient also.

Uses of Phosphorous:

Phosphorous is used in the fireworks industry and for making special glasses used in sodium lamps.
