BEWARE!!!
Demonstrative Adjective: This – that – these – those – such – always followed by a noun.
Demonstrative Pronoun: This – that – these – those – such – not followed by a noun.
Examples:
(This – followed by noun – school. Therefore, “THIS” is a demonstrative adjective)
(This – not followed by any noun. Therefore, “THIS” is a demonstrative pronoun)
(That – followed by noun – star. Therefore, “THAT” is a demonstrative adjective)
(That – not followed by any noun. Therefore, “THAT” is a demonstrative pronoun)
THIS – THESE – Present tense – present days or Recent times.
Example:
(the Sunday which is at the end of the present week – near future)
(the year which is ongoing. Present time)
(these days which are passing – present continuous tense)
THAT – THOSE – (Past tense – past days)
