Present Simple Tense (Negatives and Questions)
We form the negative of the Present Simple by using do not or does not:

Subject + don’t/doesn’t + first form of the verb + object
For example:

We use do and does to form questions in the Present Simple:

Do/Does + Subject + first form of the verb + object
We can give a short answer to a Present Simple question like this:

Do you drive safely?
Yes, I do.

No, she doesn't.
