Magical Rabbit
Suparna was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank. She had nothing to do. Once or twice, she had peeped into the book her sister was reading. It had no pictures or conversations in it. "What is the use of a book without pictures or conversation?" thought Suparna. So she was thinking in her own mind, whether making a daisy-chain would be fun.

Then suddenly a white rabbit with pink eyes ran close to her. There was nothing so very remarkable in that. Suparna did not even hear the rabbit say to itself, "Oh dear! Oh dear! I will be late!" The rabbit took a watch out of its waistcoat-pocket, looked at it, and then hurried on. Suparna did not find it interesting either.
