Interrogative Adjective

Interrogate – to ask questions

Examples:

  1. Which boxes are those?

(which – interrogative adjective)

 

  1. What question did madam ask?

(what – interrogative adjective)

 

  1. Whose ball is that?

(whose – interrogative adjective)

 

  1. Which flower is that?

(which – followed by noun. So which = interrogative adjective)

Which is that flower?

(which – NOT followed by noun. So which ≠ interrogative adjective)

 

  1. What game did you play?

(what – followed by noun. So what = interrogative adjective)

What did you play?

(what – NOT followed by noun. So what ≠ interrogative adjective)

 

  1. Whose house is that?

(whose – followed by noun. So whose = interrogative adjective)

Whose is that house?

(whose – NOT followed by noun. So whose ≠ interrogative adjective)
