Types of adjectives:

1. Adjectives of quality:

red, good, bad, tall, clear, dirty, etc.

2. Adjectives of number:

one, two…ten, some, many, etc.

Examples:

1. Sunil has two lovely gifts and one colourful balloon.

(two, one – adjectives of number; lovely, colourful – adjectives of quality)

2. The brown horse has one black tail.

(brown – adjective of quality; one – adjective of number)

3. That lovely flower has nine petals and eight leaves.

(lovely – adjective of quality; nine, eight – adjectives of number)
